Power of the word of God

1 Peter 1:23: “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Most people and even Christian see the Word of God just as some piece of information. Some see it as a source of inspiration, others as some norms of morality, yet others as something cultural. The word of God is a lot more than that. It is a spiritual power that can completely transform your life. It can make you born again. It can change your nature. It can destroy your evil desires and create new and holy ones. It can give you hope and vision for the future. It is the greatest power in heavens and earth. Don’t you think it is worthwhile reading it.

God is good

Today I have chosen a Bible verse on the goodness of God. We go through various sufferings and troubles and often forget how good God is for us. He takes care after us and is not angry at us for a long time. I am so happy about it.

Psalm 30: 5: “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”

God is for us

Today I want to give you one of my favorite Bible excerpts from the epistle to Romans. I hope you will love it too.

Romans 8:31:34: "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?  Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."

Verse on patience

Isaiah 7:13: “Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also?”

Let us not tempt our Lord and try his patience. Learn to be like him in patiently enduring all of our troubles.
