Encouraging verse for spiritual fight

Ephesians 6:10-12: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

A path of a Christian is not one of peace. The Bible tells us that we live in a hostile world that is overpowered by sin and the evil one. We will always have to fight in order to defend our faith and to advance in our spiritual walk. We do not inspiration for that. I was inspired recently by reading 15inspirational Bible verses for everyone and decided to write a bit about spiritual fight.

Of course, you have to understand that our fight is not physical. We do not fight with people. Far from it! We bless them, pray for them and preach them the good news of the Gospel. Jesus told us not to keep a grudge against anybody. However, He gave us an example how to fight against evil. Although Jesus died on the cross, it was not a failure. His death was the biggest victory against these forces of darkness.

Jesus won redemption for us and taught us an eternal lesson that we conquer evil by doing good. That is the strongest tool of our fight. You do not lose spiritually if you lose materially. If you learn to forgive you do not really fail when somebody offends you. God is just and He sees what happens in your life as well as your daily behavior. You only lose if you fail to keep to the word of God and start doubting His promises.

Following verses mention other ways of fight, but all of those are spiritual. You protect yourself by knowing that God is your righteousness. By loving others you get a breast shield from arrows of hatred. The Word of God is your sword, which is a means of attack against all those evil powers of darkness. Your readiness to preach the Gospel is yet another means of battle for the Kingdom of God. I could go on and on, but it would be much better if you read the entire 6th chapter of Ephesians to find out more. God bless you in your spiritual fight.

Prayers of the saints reach God

Revelation 8:4: “And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.

I and hope you often go with our prayers seemingly unanswered. We do not understand what happens in the spiritual world and so it is very difficult to say whether they were or not really answered. We cannot judge by what we see, because a lot more happens in the realm of the unseen than on the visible one. If you do not give up and continue believing your prayers (one day) ascend before God and the answer finally comes. Just do not give in and continue believing.

God will wipe your tears

Revelation 7:17: “For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

A Christian walking through this life may experience a lot of troubles. Some suffer more, some less. There are a lot of things that the Lord has redeemed us from and we do not suffer from. However, we live in a sinful world and some kind of suffering is inevitable. Knowing that we should not get discouraged, but always remember that one day God will wipe all of your tears. Glory to the Lamb!

Wrath of the Lamb

Revelation 6:16-17: “They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb  For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”

It is wise to repent till you still have time. His mercy is there as long as you are alive. However, when you go on a journey of no return, everything changes. You will have to face his judgment. Receive his mercy now. Then, you will not have to cry with the gentiles about the wrath of the Lamb for you have passed from judgment into eternal life.

Kingdom and priests of God

Revelation 5:10: “You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

New Testament has a complete different structure of priesthood and understanding of the kingdom of God. In the Old Testament only one tribe of Israel could be priests. In the New Covenant every believer is a rightful priest. In the Old Covenant only Israel was considered to be the rightful nation (kingdom) of God. In the New Covenant your belonging or not belonging to the kingdom of God does not depend on your nationality, but on you being or not being born again. Everyone who has been born again is a priest unto God and is part of the kingdom of God.

Worthy is the Lord

Revelation 4:11: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

People sometimes ask why they should give glory to God. It is strange. The very same people enjoy being praised for the good that they do, yet they are not willing to give praise to the source of all good things. You would not exist if it wasn’t for the Lord. He had you on His mind before your father and mother did anything along the lines. Do not forget that. And give him all glory.

Self deception

Revelation 3:17-18: “You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

I hope you see how deceived we can get. We can actually have a completely opposite opinion about ourselves than the Lord has. It is wise to always be humble and pray that the Lord would clothe us spiritually, open our eyes to let us see and give us spiritual riches. Then we have much better chances of not being deceived.

Jesus opens doors

Revelation 3:7: “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”

What if you are standing at the door of opportunity and it is closed? Who can open it? Can you do it yourself? Even if you can, will you be able to keep it open? I bet not. Why not let God do that for you? If he opens the door nobody will ever be able to close it. Just trust him.

Known alive but dead in reality

Revelation 3:1: “I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

We might consider ourselves to be very spiritual and good people, but God sees our hearts. Nothing is hidden from His eyes. Our real spiritual state might be very different from what we think about ourselves. Do not be proud, but humble yourself before him, because yourself perception can be absolutely wrong and this can get you into real trouble. Humility will help you to get into spiritual shape. It will also help you to see from God perspective. This will eventually revive you and help you to move from spiritual death into spiritual life.

Time for repentance

Revelation 2:21: “I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling.

God is merciful and just. He showed his mercy by sending us Jesus who died for our sins. He is also just and if we do not repent of our sins and reconcile with Him His judgment might come any time. Do not waste his time that has been given to you for repentance. Turn away from your sins and embrace his salvation. Be willing to listen to His warning. Better be sorry now than for the rest of eternity. Thanks God we have time for repentance.

The first and the last

Revelation 2:8: “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.”

When the First and the Last speaks to you, you’d better listen. It is such a great privilege that He pays attention to you and wants to deliver some message to you. Even if it is a warning you are very blessed that He takes time to speak to you and guide you. He might ignore you, but He does not. He has a final word about our lives. I am glad about it.

Everything is written in his book

Psalm 139:16: “Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

139 Psalm is probably the most profound, inspiring, encouraging and comforting passages in the Word of God. It talks about omniscient God, who knows everything before anybody does that. He has a plan for us. His perfect will for you was written in his book before creation of the world. It is for you to choose now the plan or go your own ways and face permitting will of God. Choose his perfect will. It is so much better. For you in the first place!

Whoever has ears let them hear

Revelation 2:7: “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”

Sounds contradicting? Everybody has years. So why say such an ambiguous statement? God is talking about our spiritual ears and the place of our focus here. We do not hear the voice of God for a number of reasons. One is that we do not direct our attention towards his words. How can we hear? No chance! That’s why it says that whoever has ears. You have ears, but do you use them to hear what your God tells you? Think about it.

First love left

Revelation 2:4: “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.

This was the message given to the angel of Ephesus. Everything seemed right with the church there. One thing was not. The first love was not there anymore. Christianity is not about rules. It is about relationships. If you forget that what you have left on your hands is another lifeless religion that takes more from you than it gives. Christianity is not like that. God has given us so much more than we can give him. And He did it, because He loved us. He expects the same attitude from us. He does not want slaves.

The keys of death and Hades

Revelation 1:18: “I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”

Jesus was the first one who resurrected from the dead and never died again. He conquered death and now legally has the keys of death and hell. One day all who believe in Him will attain this victory too. What a joy! You will have a new body and hell will have no right to claim you. You belong to the living God and his son the Redeemer Jesus Christ. Give thanks to him forever. He is so good!

Alpha and Omega

Revelation 1:8: “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

You were born because God wished so. Yes, your mother and father did their job. However, you were on the mind of God before your parents even met each other. He had a plan for you before creating this world. And the plan was and is good. I am so happy about it and so should you. Nobody cares so much for you and me as the Almighty does. He knows you and He loves you. Do not fight him. Answer to his love and be blessed.

Let the thirsty come

Revelation 22:17: “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”

Are you thirsty for the word of God, for His Spirit, for righteousness and everything He has prepared for you? If you are, then go to Him and He will fill you. Do not be apathetic. Apathy leaves you empty handed. Spiritual hunger and thirst are necessary conditions to get anything from the Lord. You do not have to buy anything from God. He has everything for free. His price is your hunger, attention and commitment. So, are you thirsty?

Christ will give you rest

Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

We get tired and weary from our sins, trials, problems, failures, bad circumstances and sometimes even life. Who can help us? Christ is the only one who can give us rest. Are there any conditions for that? Yes, the next two verses tell us that we must take upon ourselves his yoke upon us and learn from him. Then our souls will find rest. His yoke is tender and his burden is mild. Nothing like the yoke and burden of the world! Let us take His yoke and find the long searched rest.

Forgives all sins heals all diseases

Psalm 103:3: “…who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases…”

These are the benefits of redemption. Everybody has sinned and most people suffer from some kind of diseases. The Lord is merciful and gracious. He forgives all of our sins and also heals all of our diseases. Not some of our sins and some of our diseases! No, He forgives all and heals all. That should be the best message that you got today. Meditate on that. God is good.

Put on full armor of God

Ephesians 6:13: “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Evil days come from time to time. What does that mean? It means that everyone has bad days when he/she is sort of under attack by temptations, is tested by adverse circumstances or simply everything slips out of hand. How should you behave when such days come? You should use all the armors that the Lord has given you. Take them out and fight the good fight. You shall win!

His word gives light

Psalm 119:130: “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.

Do you read His word every day? If not why? Do you have enough wisdom and light for your life? If you think you do you are walking your ways and not thinking about his will at all. These paths will lead you to dead end and you will regret that. Why not turn around now? Better now (late) than never. God loves you and He wants to do you good. Read His word and open your heart for his light and wisdom. Start today.

Good work will be finished

Philippians 1:6“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

We often contemplate how much of what God has called us to we need to do by our own efforts and how much is God’s grace involved. I cannot answer the question for sure, but we can be convinced about one thing, that He always starts any good work there could be and we join in to what He has already started. That is good. Another good thing is that He always finishes what He has started. We just should not hinder him. Praise God.

By whom He made the worlds

Hebrews 1:2: “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.”

What do you think of Jesus? Who is He for you? A teacher? A prophet? A liar? The word of God clearly states that He took part creating the worlds with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is almighty God. He is the Creator that made the heavens and the earth. And He so loved a fallen human being that He came to the world and died on the cross for you and me. Worship Him and be grateful for what He has done for you.

Lord knows you

Psalm 139:1: “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.

We sometimes think that nobody knows us. We have a lot of secrets, dark things in life and we try to hide them from the eyes of others. For one thing it is nobody’s business how you live. For another, there is somebody who knows everything and you will never hide anything from the person. Who is that person? God! He sees you through and knows everything that you went through in your past, things you are experiencing now and things you will undergo in the future. So, do not hide anything from him. The best thing about it is that He loves you. Relax!

Temples of the Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 6:19: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own…”

New Covenant witnesses an unbelievable miracle taking place inside those who accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Holy Spirit comes to live inside and they become a temple of Almighty God. There is no more physical sanctuary built of bricks or stones. That was destroyed hundreds of years ago. God made a new plan. He lives in humans now by means of his Spirit. What a privilege! Value it. Thank God for that.

Conquered through the blood of the lamb

Revelation 12:11: “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”

People have various misconceptions regarding what conquering and triumphing is all about. And they often justify all means to achieve their end. I do not agree to the idea. Real victory is over evil and your selfishness. You win against the spiritual enemies first. And you do it by believing in the blood of the lamb: Jesus Christ. That’s what real spiritual victory is all about.

Love of money

1 Timothy 6:10: “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grieves.”

Loving is placing your heart somewhere where you see great importance and valuing those things (or thing) above else. When things become dear we get become guilty of the sin of greed. God does not like it. He has always been ready to sacrifice things in order to show his love for us. And so should we. Let us put him, his word and his people above things and the thing that most of us care much about: money. Let God helps us in this pursuit of ours.

Perfect in him

Colossians 2:10: “and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

Fullness in this verse basically means perfection. Christ is the only way to achieve it. We have to abide in him if we expect to reach it. The only perfect human being that ever walked on the face of the earth was Jesus. Ok, Adam and Eve were too before the fall. No other one was perfect in a real sense of word. However, as God sees us through the sacrifice of Christ we may attain perfection. At least, we should try to go after it. As we attempt to follow Jesus and stay in his words we are well into becoming perfect in the eyes of God. Why? Because if you are in him you are like him. It means you are perfect. Good luck with that.

Hope in Heaven

Colossians 1:5: “the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel”.

Hope is always connected to the future. Faith is now. We need faith daily. However, if we fail to keep hope daily we will become weak pretty soon. Faith helps us much on the short term perspective. It helps us today. Faith does not look tomorrow. Hope does. We need to develop our perspective on everything in life from both short term and long term perspectives. You can be tossed like a wave here and there if you do not know what to do now. But you will lose motivation and inspiration very fast if you do not look ahead. You have hope in Heaven. That should help you keep you strong and inspired as well as motivated throughout your entire life. God bless you!

Holy Spirit testimony

Romans 8:16: “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

One way to understand that you are a child of God is by reading the Bible. It is there. It is in the Bible. The Book testifies about the fact that you are born again and can righteously be called the son (or the daughter) of God. That is the most solid testimony that you can have about being part of the family of God.

The second very important testimony that is also very strong is the testimony of the Holy Spirit. If you are born again the Spirit of God lives in you and testifies to you about your nature. He calms you down and gives assurance that you are the child of God. Blessed be his holy name.

Carnal and spiritual thinking

Romans 8:6: “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Only two kinds of thinking dominate in the world today. One is carnal and the other is spiritual. Carnal thinking is oriented on sinful lusts and desires, while spiritual thinking is based on spiritual desires, the word and the will of God. People who are not born again will definitely be ruled by carnal type of thinking. Christians that are filled with the Holy Spirit have great chances to think spiritually if they are willing to do so. They can do this, because the Spirit lives in them and gives them his thoughts. Therefore, let us think spiritually.

Dead to sin

Romans 6:1: “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?”

So, shall we? Grace set us free from the power of sin. Being free how can we continue staying in sin? No way! Let the grace increase and sin decrease. We do not want to be slaves to sin. Every Christian should consider himself to be dead to sin. A dead person cannot be tempted. He does not feel any lures of sin. He cannot be deceived. Being dead to sin is an attitude that we should have in our minds. Then will grace increase and our sins decrease.

Sealed with the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 1:13-14: “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

For ages the saints have been waiting for God to pour his Holy Spirit into the land. Finally, it has become a reality in Christ. After resurrection He sent the Holy Ghost to the first disciples and the were baptized in the spirit on the day of Pentecost. This promise now belongs to anyone who is converted to Christianity. You can have God Himself inside of you. What a promise and privilege to be a sanctuary of the living God. It shows that you are his property and the evil one cannot touch you.

Hope does not disappoint

Roman 5:5: “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

People scorn hope. They do not value it. Most do not believe that hope is effective and necessary. It is! It makes our hearts softer. It allows us to be optimists by looking to the future and seeing it bright. It also helps us to forget our current or past troubles and helps us to believe that they will finish soon. So, embrace the hope that God gives you and do not be disappointed.

Two realities

Romans 4:17: “As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

I want to draw your attention to the end of the worse. It says something about our God. He calls things into being that were not. God lives in invisible reality. We live in the visible one. Those that simply follow their five senses have no awareness of what is not visible. Christians try to pattern their father (God). They often call things that are not (visible) as though they were. And they really are. And one day it becomes a fact.

All under power of sin

Romans 3:9: “What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.”

God is no respecter of persons. All humanity has fallen into sin in his eyes. There are no better or worse races. All nations and every single person are under the power of sin. It is hard to believe, but it is the truth. Some people commit bigger some smaller sins, but these things are still sins: crimes before God. This idea also leads us to a conclusion that all of us need forgiveness for whatever sins we have committed: big or small.

Goodness of God leads to repentance

Romans 2:4: “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

Christians want to know how to repent and what helps us to repent. This excerpt states very clearly that God’s goodness leads us to repentance. When you see how merciful and good God is you do not want to do things He does not like and you repent of them. You cannot force yourself to repent. No, repentance is the gift of God. It is a sovereign act of the Holy Spirit. He reveals to us what is wrong with us and causes us to regret that. We simply have to submit ourselves to this revelation and repent.

Lord laughs from mockers

Psalm 2:4: “The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.”

From times immemorial Satan wanted to dethrone God. He used his people to destroy Bible, persecute Christians, but He has always failed. And he will fail again and again till one day find himself in the lake of fire. The same will happen to those who conspire together with the devil against God and his people. God knows about their plans, He sees their hatred and arrogance and laughs from them. He destroys their plans. Neither Satan, nor his people will ever be able to resist God. They would better stop and submit themselves to the good, perfect and awesome will of God.

Jesus took our transgressions pain and diseases

Isaiah 53:4-5: “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

The world is suffering from its’ sins, pain and diseases. It is all part of Adam’s and Eve rebellion against God in the Garden of Eden. The world has been sold to slavery. However, Jesus took upon himself the entire curse that has been on our shoulders and put on his own. He took our punishment so that we could live free from all the above mentioned things. I am so grateful to God for that. He has redeemed me. I am free from sin in Christ. I believe that. He took my pain too. If you are in pain remember that Jesus paid for your pain so that you could be free. Trust him for that. He also took on himself all of your diseases. Very few Christians believe that is part of redemption. It is. Read all of the chapter of Isaiah 53 and you will see it for yourself. Glory to God!

God gives security and peace

Psalm 4:8: “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

Peace and security are ultimate targets for most people. Nobody wants to live in worry and anxiety, troubled by unfavorable circumstance, unrest and financial instability. But where can you find the thing you want so much. The Bible says that only God can give real security and peace. Other ways of getting those will not help or will not be long lasting at best. So, are you sleeping well? If not it is high time to make God your Lord and Savior and start trusting him.

The way the truth and the life

John 14:6: “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Contrary to popular modern beliefs of a lot of ways to one God Jesus says that He is the only one way. He is the only real truth and He is the only real eternal life. Whatever you imagine all ways that seem to lead you to God initially, turn out to be wrong ways that lead you to eternal death. Do not be deceived. Real Christians stand for what they believe even unto death. Those that promote popular modern ideas hardly every stand that much for what they believe. Millions of Christians have died and are dying for their master even today. Hardly any modern secular person would die for his beliefs. Why? Because his beliefs are for his comfort, not for what truth really is.

Lamp unto my feet

Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

This verse is from the longest psalm in the book of Psalms. It talks about the function of the word of God. It shines for you. The world is in spiritual darkness. People think that they see, but they really do not. They are blinded by the lusts, pride and vanity of the world. Only the word of God can show you the way in this dark world. When you read it, it shows you which way to go and which paths are to be avoided.

Read it daily so that you could walk in the light daily. If you want you could even memorize some of the scriptures that you find to be very important. Learn them by heart and quote for yourself every day. You will be strengthened and encouraged.

Prepare the way

Isaiah 40:30: “A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

Our God does not walk crooked paths. We often do. Now, if we want to walk with the Lord we have to straighten our paths. He neither proud, nor suffers from complex of inferiority. Neither should we. Christian walk demands changes on our behalf. We cannot live with one foot in the world and with the other in the kingdom of God. God is not a hypocrite and we cannot be if we expect to please him. Let us prepare the way for Jesus to come.

Being an atheist is foolish

Psalm 14:1: “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.”

World is proud of its scientists. These are often called experts when it comes to answering some complicated question that needs empirical proof. However, a lot of what we know of as empirical proof is only a hypothesis. It is only a ‘maybe’ idea. Some tried to prove that God does not exist. They die and stand before the One they tried to negate face to face. All universe preaches to us saying that there is an intelligent mind behind all creation and all Christians know who He is. So, do not be foolish. Pick up a Bible and find empirical evidence for yourself. Pray to him and He will prove you his power, love and everything He is.

Great faith

Luke 7:9: “When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.”

Few of us have great faith. Most of us have great doubts. We run to all possible sources for help and treat God as last insurance who pays premium at your death in case nothing else works. No wonder there are very few miracles in churches nowadays. Our faith is weak. We rely on our five senses and believe only what we see. To tell the truth we should hardly be called believers, because believing doctrines and affirm to them in your mind is not a big deal. We have to learn to trust God on daily basis in various problematic situations. That is how we make our faith great.

Hope of glory

Colossians 1:27: “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Prophets of the Old Testament were waiting for this hope of glory and died without achieving that. They waited for redemption and miracle of miracles that God will come and start living in a human being by means of his spirit. When the spirit comes he regenerates us and changes our nature. He removes our sinful desires and puts new nature inside of us and we become children of God. If you haven’t become a Christian, do it now and you will experience the change too.

God sees everything

Hebrews 4:13: “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Our God sees everything. You can try to hide something from him in the deepest depths of the ocean and you will not be successful. So why hide anything? Let us not do it. If we sin we can confess those to our God and He will forgive us, because He is gracious and merciful. His eyes are not evil.

Jesus bore our sins and healed us

1 Peter 2:24: He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

People try to redeem their sins by doing good works or punishing themselves by one way or another. They even think that as time goes by their evil works somehow are forgiven. Unfortunately, it is not true. Time does not forgive our sins. God does! Jesus took your sins and nailed them to the cross of Calvary. Asking Jesus for forgiveness is the only way to have your sins forgiven. Not only that! He healed your diseases too. How? By means of his wounds. Only believe and you will see this miracle happening.

Power of the word of God

1 Peter 1:23: “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Most people and even Christian see the Word of God just as some piece of information. Some see it as a source of inspiration, others as some norms of morality, yet others as something cultural. The word of God is a lot more than that. It is a spiritual power that can completely transform your life. It can make you born again. It can change your nature. It can destroy your evil desires and create new and holy ones. It can give you hope and vision for the future. It is the greatest power in heavens and earth. Don’t you think it is worthwhile reading it.

God is good

Today I have chosen a Bible verse on the goodness of God. We go through various sufferings and troubles and often forget how good God is for us. He takes care after us and is not angry at us for a long time. I am so happy about it.

Psalm 30: 5: “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”

God is for us

Today I want to give you one of my favorite Bible excerpts from the epistle to Romans. I hope you will love it too.

Romans 8:31:34: "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?  Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."

Verse on patience

Isaiah 7:13: “Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also?”

Let us not tempt our Lord and try his patience. Learn to be like him in patiently enduring all of our troubles.
